Jonny Jenkins
Managing Director
After qualifying as a surveyor, Jonny joined the family business in 2010 to assist with all aspects, including estimating, contracts, and business development. Jonny was involved in the successful implementation of CE marking and the annual audits by BSI and CHAS. Following the retirement of his father Hugh, Jonny became managing director and is continuing to drive the business forward.
Shona Jenkins
Finance Director
Shona joined the business after completing a graduate programme and an eight year period at RBS. She leads our finance and accounts team and also specialises in process improvement to ensure that the business runs effectively and in a streamlined manner. She continues the family tradition by joining her husband Jonny in the third generation of the business.
Mark Brown
General Manager
Mark joined the business as an apprentice in 1990 and has worked his way up to the post of general manager. He is in charge of the main day-to-day business activities and in ensuring that clients’ requirements are all met. In 2014 Mark became welding coordinator to ensure that we meet CE marking regulations, and his knowledge of welding and the industry is invaluable to the business. He also holds an SSSTS certificate.
Connor McAinsh
Production Manager
Connor joined our business in 2014 as an agency fabricator. He quickly established himself as an invaluable tradesman and progressed from structural steel fabrication to becoming our first CNC programmer and operator. In January 2021 Connor accepted the role of production scheduler with a focus on improving capacity and efficiencies in our workshop. Connor, now as Production Manager, plays a pivotal role by overseeing the entire production process in our business.
Darren Smith
Senior Contracts Manager
Having joined the business more than 25 years ago as an apprentice, Darren has vast experience and technical knowledge. He liaises with clients to ensure that all our onsite activities are executed to their requirements and expectations. Additionally, he carries out the main training duties for apprentices and operatives in the business to ensure that quality and safety are at the forefront of everything they do. Darren also holds an SSSTS certificate.
James White
Training Supervisor
James joined the business in 1986 and is our longest serving staff member. James has witnessed first-hand the development and growth of the business and has been integral in all aspects of the work produced from structural steel to architectural metalwork. Originally the workshop foreman, James has now taken on a training role in order to develop the skills and knowledge of all members of staff. James has the knowledge and experience over nearly 40 years so who better to teach the next crop of fabricators!
Grant Logan
Contracts Manager
Grant joined the business in 2012 as an agency worker but quickly established himself as a reliable and knowledgeable site operative. His technical ability and professionalism has helped the business grow into new sectors by tackling challenging projects heads on. In 2022, Grant was promoted to Contracts Manager and now works with our clients and site teams to ensure jobs are completed on time and with the quality we expect.
Susan Mein
Accounts Manager
Susan joined the company in 2017 and immediately made an impact with her knowledge and experience in the steel industry. She runs our accounts team, manages the office and also assists with our site programme work. Susan has years of experience and is a powerhouse at what she does.
Lauren Brown
Trainee Estimator
Lauren joined the Jenkins Fabrications team in April 2023 and hit the ground running. Initially brought onboard in the admin team, it quickly became clear Lauren had the skills and knowledge to take on a more demanding role in the business. After three months, Lauren accepted the Trainee Estimator role and is excelling here. Having previously worked in the house building industry, Lauren has brought a fresh pair of eyes and new ideas to our business.
