Congratulations to Connor and Grant on 10 years service
Grant started off at John Jenkins and Son as a temporary agency worker. During his time as a temporary worker, he accepted a full time job and joined our site team. Grant has worked on sites across Scotland as a site operative installing everything from railings to balconies. A natural leader, Grant then took on a lead site role where along with his day-to-day jobs on site, he also lead and coached others on the site team.
Grant is ambitious and extremely hard working, so when Jonny offered him the opportunity of a Contracts Manager role, Grant jumped at the challenge and has settled into the position with ease. Although it has been difficult at times, Grant has worked extremely hard behind the scenes to ensure big projects run smoothly from start to completion on site.
Grant has recently just completed a course in SolidWorks so he’s now working on updating our drawing packs for Architectural work. Well done Grant.
Like Grant, Connor also started as a temporary agency worker. Before joining the team Connor had previously finished his Welding Fabrication apprenticeship, so he joined team as a talented Tradesman.
Never one to turn down an opportunity to learn and progress in his career, Connor moved from architectural metalwork to structural steel before taking on the role of making and installing all the gym equipment for Solid Athletix, a Jenkins Fabrications subsidiary.
When we invested the CNC Plasma, Connor moved into a CNC operator role, which saw him working part time in the office and part time in the workshop. This gave Connor a taste of an office based role and he quickly moved into a Production Scheduler role and now a Production Manager role. Connor is responsible for the production and delivery of all our orders from receipt of purchase order to delivery to site. What an amazing 10 years, Connor.
